Vanna White, the one and only glamorous ‘Wheel of Fortune’ legend herself, showed us inside her closet and talked about her 30 years in the biz.

Perpetually decked in rhinestones, Vanna — “You know, one day you’re going to be known as just Vanna,” her mother prophesied when she left home — has become an icon of American glamour. (“Payin’ cash, first class, sittin’ next to Vanna White,” quoth the rapper Nelly.) A dress she wore in July by Portland, Ore., designer Jennifer Thomas sold out in minutes and is still on back order.

Vanna, now 55, grew up in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. She decided to be an actress at the age of 10, when her uncle Christopher George, starred in a tv series called “The Rat Patrol.” She packed off for fashion school at 18 and within four years was auditioning for “Wheel.”

“Pat [Sajak] didn’t think I’d get the job because of how nervous I was. It was my first big job!” she told The Daily, her enthusiasm making it hard not to mirror a grin through the phone.
